How does Acuvue TruEye compare to Oasys?
When comparing 1-Day Acuvue TruEye and Acuvue Oasys 1-Day, you will find both have similar qualities. They are both made up of a breathable silicone hydrogel material and allow almost an equal amount of oxygen into the eye, keeping the lenses and your eyes feeling fresh. The high comfort levels of both these lenses make them ideal for sensitive eyes and remove the need to apply additional eye drops. These silicone hydrogel contact lenses also provide excellent UV protection and a visibility tint with a 123 indicator for easy application.
So, what makes them different? 1 Day Acuvue TruEye is a first-generation silicone hydrogel contact lens made up of a thicker and steadier lens design. The firm design allows the lens to keep its shape, making it easier to insert and remove your lenses. For this reason, Acuvue TruEye is favoured by those who have trouble handling their lenses.
Acuvue Oasys 1-Day with HydraLuxe, is a softer lens that can be considered less rigid in design. The thin lens design provides a “barely-there” feel, making it more desirable for contact lens users who wear lenses for long hours. Especially favoured by those who spend most of their day in front of digital devices, as it helps minimise the symptoms of dry eyes by maintaining moisture all day.
Which is better Acuvue TruEye or Oasys?
Overall, Acuvue Oasys 1-Day with HydraLuxe is better. It maintains a higher level of softness and moisture from morning till night thanks to its HydraLuxe technology, offering a comfortable lens wearing experience.
Please note, everyone’s eyes are different, and what may work for your eyes may not work for someone else. So, it’s essential to visit your optician who will advise whether Acuvue TruEye or Oasys is suitable for you.

Clare- 18 Mar 2021VerifiedAmazing! I tried several lenses for dry eyes and these were the only ones that suited. No discomfort, 12 plus hour wear, UV protection and such clear vision, no blurring or deterioration however long you wear them. Very easy to put in and take out. So happy to have found such a comfortable and suitable contact.
