London Fashion Week is just around the corner, falling on Friday 14th February, (also Valentine’s Day) and ending on Tuesday 18th February.

What is the London Fashion Week Festival?

That’s a four-day fashion extravaganza with the likes of Burberry, Christopher Kane, Roksanda and Erdem taking to the catwalk to showcase their latest collections. The event takes place twice a year and exhibits 250 designers to a worldwide audience of influencers and retailers. It is one of the “Big Four” fashion weeks along with New York, Paris and Milan.

This year there will be a range of fabulous events including talks and workshops scheduled throughout the week. Temperley London and De La Vali will even be opening up their shows to the public, so prepare to be inspired.

The British Fashion Council have announced that this seasons LFW will be a ‘city-wide celebration’ with a Positive Fashion theme celebrating best practice in the industry and encouraging positive change. The celebration aims to bring people of the city together, opening this major event to new audiences.

Where are the London Fashion Week Shows?

Most of the shows and events for London Fashion Week take place at the British fashion Council Show Space on The Strand, however other events make the most on London’s famous landmarks taking place at such venues as Kensington Gardens and the Tate Modern. There are of course many private venues across London, also showcasing some more exclusive events.

Whilst most of the events during London Fashion Week are invite only, this year Temperley London and De La Vali will be opening up their shows to the public.

How do you get invited to London Fashion Week?

To be invited to most of the shows at London Fashion Week, you either must be a blogger, designer, press, buyer or marketer. However, if you’re not either one of these, you can still head to Somerset House to soak up the glamour and get inspired.

Can you buy tickets to London Fashion Week?

You can buy tickets to London Fashion Week; however, these tickets will only allow you limited access and wont permit you to watch all the shows. Tickets range from £145-£245 and will allow you to enjoy an immersive experience which not only includes the Temperley London and De La Vali shows but also allows you to enjoy creative installations and explore the DiscoveryLAB; an innovative space which combines fashion, art, music and technology.
