What is the difference between Acuvue Revitalens and Opti Free Puremoist?
Acuvue Revitalens and Opti Free Puremoist are both multi purpose contact lens solutions featured in a twin pack and are both compatible with all soft lenses including silicone hydrogel contact lenses.
The difference between Acuvue Revitalens and Opti Free Puremoist lies within the technology and ingredients.
Opti Free Puremoist features a HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix formula which is designed to keep your lenses hydrated and comfortable to wear, reducing the risk of dry eye. The polyquad and aldox dual disinfectants act against harmful microorganisms including bacteria, fungi and acanthamoeba.
Acuvue Revitalens, features its own unique formulation which kills 99% of germs and bacteria while remaining gentle on the eye.
Opti Free Puremoist also adds a layer of long-lasting moisture to the surface of the lens. It is, however, a more expensive solution than Acuvue Revitalens.
Both solutions feature a dual disinfecting system and will give your contact lenses an effective clean. They are featured in twin packs which contain two 300ml bottles with 2 lens cases per pack.
Which is better Acuvue Revitalens or Opti Free Puremoist?
Acuvue Revitalens is a better choice in terms of price point as it is slightly cheaper than Opti Free Puremoist. This multi purpose solution offers excellent value for money and features a dual disinfection system unlike no other, delivering peroxide quality disinfection whilst remaining gentle on the eyes. It provides sustained lens disinfection in the lens case even after it has evaporated partially.
Opti Free Puremoist is considered a better option if you’re sensitive to preservative as it contains Polyquad. This preservative does not penetrate through the lens and therefore doesn’t sting. It also features a disinfection system which acts fast and only takes 6 hours, making it an excellent choice if you need to wear your lenses again soon.
