How to take care of your designer sunglasses

As with even the highest of quality sunglasses, taking care of your sunglasses is essential to keeping them in tip top condition. Follow our simple tips and you can be sure that your sunglasses will remain looking as new as when you first bought them. Afterall, there’s nothing worse than damaging your favourite pair of sunglasses.

  1. Put on/Take off your glasses correctly

When putting on and taking off your sunglasses try and remember to do this carefully with both hands. This will ensure the temple tips are kept straight and aligned and that the nose pads stay in tact.

Removing your sunglasses with one hand can damage the frames and cause the screws to loosen.

  1. Use a cleaning solution

A good quality cleaning solution is worth the investment and will ensure that your lenses are kept clear and that your eyes are protected from bacteria.

You should clean your lenses at least once a week, however, if you find yourself playing a lot of sport or in a dusty environment, you might want to clean them more often.

  1. Clean your lenses with a microfiber cloth

Avoid using your fingers or cleaning your lenses with your sleeve or rough materials such as paper towels as this can transfer more dirt to the lens

Cleaning the sides of your frames and nose pads is also a good idea for hygiene purposes and will prevent your glasses from slipping due to grease.

Our Feel Good Cleaning Kit is a great all-in-one accessory for cleaning your sunglasses with. Not only does it include a microfiber cloth, it also comes with a lens cleaner and a screwdriver, should the bolts and screws on your sunglasses come lose. It’s travel friendly too!

  1. Always place your glasses the right way up

If you’re placing your sunglasses down for a moment, make sure the lenses aren’t touching a surface as this can scratch them.

All our sunglasses come with a pouch to ensure they are protected when you’re not wearing them.
